The “I Gave Birth” bracelet is a simple way to remind everyone around you to keep an eye on your health after giving birth. Postpartum health is important, and this bracelet is designed to help you and your healthcare providers recognize potential concerns quickly.

How It Works

Wear Your Bracelet

Put it on before you leave the hospital.

Keep it On

Wear the bracelet for 6 weeks, as this is a critical time for your recovery.

Show It to Providers

Share it with any healthcare providers you see during this time, whether they’re familiar with your pregnancy history or not.

Respond to Warning Signs

Be proactive about seeking care if you experience any urgent warning signs.

Postpartum Warning Signs

Seek urgent care
if you have any of these symptoms:

  • Fever of 100.4°F or higher
  • Severe headache that won’t go away
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Vision changes
  • Trouble breathing
  • Chest pain or fast-beating heart
  • Swelling, redness, or pain in your leg
  • Extreme swelling of your hands or face
  • Severe belly pain that doesn’t go away
  • Severe nausea and throwing up
  • Heavy bleeding
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Thoughts of hurting yourself or baby

Don’t forget to say, “I gave birth on [date] at [hospital/facility].”
