We are thrilled to share that UAMS will receive $40 million in federal funding to strengthen maternal and infant health across Arkansas — including major support for the Arkansas Center for Women & Infants’ Health.

This funding will help expand our Proactive Postpartum Call Center, which is already reaching mothers across the state to check on their recovery, screen for warning signs, and connect families to needed support. It also strengthens our “I Gave Birth” Bracelet Initiative, helping ensure that in a medical emergency, providers immediately recognize when a patient is in the postpartum period.

At a time when our state continues working to improve maternal and infant outcomes, this funding represents meaningful momentum and hope for families across Arkansas.
